Brandon Britt is the Head Basketball Coach at Fort Valley State University and brings a proven track record of program building, player development, recruiting success, and competitive excellence at the NCAA Division II, NAIA, and high school levels. Throughout his coaching career, Coach Britt has consistently demonstrated the ability to elevate programs, develop high-level talent, and cultivate a culture centered on accountability, discipline, and academic achievement.

In the 2025-26 season at Fort Valley State University, Coach Britt continued laying the foundation for sustained success while guiding the Wildcats to a 12-13 overall record in a highly competitive Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). Under his leadership, Fort Valley State finished second in the conference in scoring offense at 74 points per game, led the conference in three-point field goal defense, and ranked third in rebounds per game. The season was highlighted by the development of All-Conference performer Aidan Lambert and SIAC Freshman of the Year Danny Delgado, further showcasing Coach Britt’s commitment to player development and competitive excellence.
Prior to Fort Valley State, Coach Britt spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Edward Waters University, where he played a significant role in the continued growth of the program during its transition and establishment at the NCAA Division II level. During the 2024-25 season, Coach Britt helped lead Edward Waters to the program’s first winning season as a Division II institution, marking a significant milestone in the university’s athletic history. Throughout his tenure, he was heavily involved in recruiting, player development, scouting, game preparation, and program operations. He implemented comprehensive player development initiatives that enhanced athletes’ physical conditioning, basketball IQ, and skill development while helping build a competitive roster capable of sustained success. In addition, Coach Britt served as Director of Elite Camps, organizing and managing exposure events that attracted top regional talent and further strengthened the program’s recruiting footprint.

Coach Britt enjoyed tremendous success as Head Coach at Western High School in Kentucky, where he transformed a struggling program into one of the state's premier basketball programs. Taking over a team that had finished 4-22, he immediately improved the program to 10-19 in his first season and 17-15 in his second season, leading Western to its first Sixth Region Tournament appearance in a decade. By his third season, he guided the program to its first regional championship game appearance in more than 40 years while competing with a roster comprised primarily of underclassmen.

In the 2021-22 season, Coach Britt led Western High School to the most successful season in school history, finishing with a 23-5 record. Even after the departure of an ESPN five-star prospect to nationally recognized Oak Hill Academy, his team continued to excel, posting a 21-8 record against a nationally ranked schedule while finishing 13-2 in one of Kentucky's most competitive regions. During his tenure, Western became a legitimate state championship contender and was ranked as high as No. 2 in Kentucky. When Coach Britt departed the program, four sophomores held NCAA Division I scholarship offers, while three additional players had opportunities at the Division II and NAIA levels.
At the collegiate level, Coach Britt previously served under Hall of Fame Head Coach Wiley Brown at Indiana University Southeast. During his two seasons with the Grenadiers, the program compiled a 31-26 overall record and earned a trip to the NAIA National Tournament Field of 32 in Branson, Missouri. The team finished 24-7 during the 2016-17 season and climbed as high as No. 12 in the national rankings. Coach Britt played a significant role in the development of four NAIA All-Americans, seven All-Conference performers, and two future professional basketball players during his tenure.

Known for his passion for mentoring student-athletes, Coach Britt emphasizes holistic development both on and off the court. His coaching philosophy centers on player development, relationship building, competitive excellence, and preparing student-athletes for success beyond basketball. He believes that the lessons learned through athletics—discipline, leadership, resilience, and teamwork—create lifelong opportunities for personal and professional growth.
At Fort Valley State University, Coach Britt is committed to building a championship culture while developing student-athletes into leaders who excel academically, athletically, and within their communities. His reputation as a teacher of the game, recruiter, talent developer, and program builder continues to drive success at every stop of his coaching career.
