Make a bid to own a piece of Wildcat history. The athletic department is auctioning 10 autographed championship t-shirts and three of the actual game balls used in the SIAC Championship game signed by the team captains and Head Coach Kevin Porter.

The 2016 championship is the first in 17 years for the Wildcats. The young men who won this championship did so against the odds and left an indelible mark on the SIAC and the history of Fort Valley State University. Their victory came at a time when expectations were low and the obstacles they faced included more than just 11 men on the other side of the ball.

The 2016 Wildcat championship team personifies what it means to be tenacious, to persevere and to have internal belief in what you can accomplish. They are a part of championship lore and will be remembered for years to come.  The team that wouldn't quit because "quitting ain't in them". That's what they will say when talk of champions takes place at homecoming.

You can have a part of their history making journey. The names on the t-shirts and the game balls belong to those who made the plays and came from behind. They are the play makers and game changers, champions  who will forever be a part of Wildcat history. 

Make your play for a piece of history. Bidding for the t-shirts start at $50.00. Higher bids must be made in increments of $10.00. Bidding for the game balls start at $250.00. Higher bids must be made in increments of $25.00. The auction will be conducted silently through the athletic department's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/fvsusports. Remember, there are 10 separate t-shirt auctions and 3 football auctions taking place simultaneously. All bids must include: The item you are bidding on i.e., t-shirt#1, t-shirt#2, football#1, football#2 your full name and contact information including a phone number. If you wish to bid on an item, send your bid to the following email address:wildcatathleticauction@fvsu.edu. Each bid will receive a return email verifying the item and the bid amount. 

Three times each day the Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/fvsusports/ and the athletic department's main website at www.fvsusports.com will be updated to reflect the current highest bids. Names will not be shared. Bidding will open Saturday December 10, 2016 at 12:00 pm and close December 29, 2016 at 5:00 pm.The winning bids will be announced on the main athletics department webpage and the Facebook page December 30, 2016. Winners will be responsible for cost to ship items or they can pick them up in person at the Athletics Department.

Proceeds will be used to purchase championship rings for the team.
