ATLANTA, GA (November 14, 2014) – Fort Valley State University
LeRon Furr has been named 2014 SIAC Football Player of the Year (MVP), Defensive Player of the Year and SIAC First Team All-Defense, as voted on by SIAC Football Coaches Association. The Wildcats placed another six student-athletes on the All-Conference Teams.

Brian Walker and freshman kicker/Punter
Juan Serna made SIAC First Team on Offense, Defense and Special Teams. Junior offensive lineman
Brandon Baker made second team offense.
Furr led the Wildcats in tackles with 108 (49 solo) and tied for first place in the SIAC. He finished with 49 tackle-for-losses, 10 sacks, one interception, 4 pass break-ups and 6 quarterback hurries. Furr was named Defensive Player of the Game at the Fountain City Classic and two-times SIAC Player of the Week.
Freeman played in eight games, while leading the team with 33 catches, 720 yards, 21.82 yard average/catch and 11 touchdowns. He was two-times SIAC Player of the Week, first in receive yards/game in the SIAC, seventh in receptions/game, second in scoring, third in scoring touchdowns and third All-Purpose.
Walker had 56 tackles for the Wildcats and 1.5 tackle-for-losses, five interceptions, five pass break-ups and one forced fumble. He was SIAC Player of the Week once and second in the SIAC in interceptions.
Serna punted 56 times for 2,086 yards and 16 of those inside the 20 and 48 kick-offs for 2,598 yards. He was SIAC Player of the Week twice, second in scoring (kick) and third in PAT Kicking PCT.
Little finished the season with 47 tackles, 11 tackle-for-losses, 3.5 sacks, one pass break-up and 10 quarterback hurries, as well as one-time Player of the Week.
