LADY WILDCATS LEAP TO 11TH IN NATIONAL POLL

In this week’s USA Today ESPN Division II Women’s Top 25 Coaches’ Poll (released on February 2nd), the Lady Wildcats of Fort Valley State University (FVSU) moved from 14th to 11th after wins over Miles College, Lemoyne-Owen College, and Clark Atlanta University. The week’s 11th place ranking is the highest of the season for the Lady Wildcats.
FVSU received a total of 394 points in this week’s voting. Currently 19-1, the Lady Wildcats maintain the number one spot in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
The weekly poll is derived from the votes of 30 NCAA Division II head coaches who make up the USA Today ESPN board of coaches. Each board member is required to vote for the NCAA Division II poll each week between 8 a.m. on Monday and 1 p.m. Tuesday (EST).
