LADY WILDCATS RANKED THIRD IN INITIAL NCAA REGIONAL POLL

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Women’s Basketball Committee released its first regional polls of the 2009-2010 season on Wednesday, January 27th. In this week’s poll, the Lady Wildcats of Fort Valley State University are ranked third in the South Region behind Delta State and Arkansas Tech. Team records through January 24th were included in this week’s regional ranking. The number three ranked Lady Wildcats are currently 17-1 (12-1 in the SIAC) and lead the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
The regional rankings will be released every Wednesday through March 3rd. Regional Play-off selections will be made on Sunday, March 7th.
