FVSU NETTERS FINALLY NET FIRST WIN!

There is absolutely no quit in the Fort Valley State University Lady Wildcat Volleyball Team. Although it was not until the 10th match of the season, the Lady Wildcats finally notched their first win of the year.
The win came on the second day of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Crossover Tournament held in Albany, Georgia on September 17-19th. The Lady Wildcats got the win over the Lady Tigers of Tuskegee University, 3-1.
In a closely fought match, FVSU won the first game 25-22. In the second game, the Lady Tigers of Tuskegee won 26-24. The Lady Wildcats would claim the win by taking the next two games, 25-20 and 25-14.
The Lady Wildcats were led by junior, outside hitter Andrea Stephenson.
FVSU is back in volleyball action on Thursday, September 24th when they host the Lady Lions of Paine College. That match is the beginning of a four-match home stand for FVSU. Claflin University (September 27th), Brewton-Parker College (September 29th) and Clark Atlanta University (September 30th) will also visit the campus.
