By: FVSU Office of Sports Information
After a sluggish 0-4 start, the Lady Wildcat Volleyball Team will try for its first win of the season as they begin a two-game home stand tonight. The Lady Wildcats will host the Wolves of the University of West Georgia in the HPE Arena on the Fort Valley State University Campus at 7 p.m. Tonight’s match up will be the second meeting between the teams this year. The Wolves won the first match 3-0 with game scores of 25-13, 25-9, and 25-16. The Wolves are 6-8 overall.
Tomorrow night’s contest will be a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) match for the Lady Wildcats when they welcome The Lady Bears of Miles College to the FVSU Campus. The 6 p.m. match will be the first meeting of the season for the squads.
Admission to FVSU Volleyball matches is free of charge.
After the home stand, the Lady Wildcats will travel to Albany State University on Thursday, September 17th to participate in the three-day, SIAC Volleyball Crossover. Designed to minimize team travel, the SIAC Crossover allows conference member schools to meet in one designated site to play multiple intra-conference matches.
