The Fort Valley State University Lady Wildcats tennis team, a unit that has consistently contended for the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title, did so once again this season. Fort Valley State advanced to the SIAC title match, but fell 5-4 to the Tigerettes of Tuskegee University.
Fort Valley defeated Benedict College 5-2 to get to the championship game. The championship match-up went right down to the last match, but lost out on the tiebreaker. Chantelle Chiles and Roberta Robinson were name to the All-Tournament team.
The Lady Wildcats finished the season with a record of 13-9.
